Questions
Is Ava a Postman alternative?
Yes — it's an API testing tool that works like Postman, and for Business Central it does things Postman can't. It imports your existing Postman collections. Postman still has a collection runner and scripting, which Ava doesn't have yet.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open app.apiclient.in in your browser and sign up. Requests are sent by our server, so there are no CORS problems and no desktop agent.
Does it work with Business Central on-premises?
The hosted app can reach Business Central Online and any public API. An on-premises server inside your network isn't reachable from the internet — for that, run Ava on your own server. NTLM authentication is not supported yet.
Are my credentials safe?
Client secrets, passwords and OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, and they are never sent back to your browser. Exported collections leave secrets out.
